You're right, there can be a bit of beading with Classic Ink on large smooth surfaces. I think it adds to the handmade charm :-) I wonder if you tried superfine-grit sandpaper on the large smooth areas just a teeny bit if the ink would stay put a little better? I haven't? tried it, but it's just a thought...don't risk your embossing folder if the idea sounds too crazy to you! LOL

I just clean mine with my Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub by running over that several times, and if need be, more Stampin' Mist on a paper towel and wipe off. Good as new! It may eventually looked stained but won't affect the performance of your brayer.
