I liked Windows XP, i loved Windows Vista but i skipped Windows 7. Windows 8 is exacty the kind of computer i would make, The? design is just great and i love all the features that connect everything in the computer together. I might even go for a Windows tablet after having owned an iPad for the last year. The funny thing is, i'm writing this on my iPad as we speak haha. I hope Windows 8 gets a lot of app support, and i hope the connection between Tablet and Computer is better than iTunes.

Wow, I missed this. So, let's see: Microsoft Surface has technically been out for? a while. The first stable release uses Samsung for hardware. So, now Samsung has a touch surface? Or is it still a Microsoft collaboration? Also, I hope all of you know that the cost of the Sur40 is $8,400. My firm would love to use Surface with a touch version of GIS, but not spend 9 grand. I don't like Mac? Os and I'll say win8 is a complete copy of iOs. I see where MS was going with this idea as far as sales and market control, but we're losing SO much in the process. Simplify our computers for us, take away our options, make a power user's mundane operations very difficult to get to and MS will start losing sales. They should keep? the Metro interface to strictly mobile platforms and keep the trad Aero interface for desktops with the Start button. The only way Metro is useful in a desktop would be for an HTPC, as a replacement for Media Center. I do like the changes to the task manger and file copying.

Looks like shit. Power users are now crippled, and I heard to get to what power users use, takes a very long time and is a difficult process. Also, WHY THE FUCK is every program now called an "app?" Only Mac and Linux based computers? call them applications. WIndows has had programs. I like the fact they are going for a one size fits all approach to Windows rather than having different desktop/tablet/media centre versions. Was with Ubuntu up until unity, which? I found just too frustratingly odd. Seems to me most changes to the UI of an OS, were meant to make it easier for the user. But unity was driven by the companies desire to unite laptops, tablets and desktops. And it shows in unity. I gave it a good spin and just didnt like it. Plus I had install issues with ubuntu at every upgrade. Got pretty frustrating, so I switched to mint. And I honestly prefer it. Good video though.

I think you're an amateur and that is the problem here not the Linux systems. The blue screen is Adobe's fault. Flash 11.2 is fucked and I had the same problem. All u have to do is uninstall 11.2 and install 11.1 manually.? I bet that there are drivers for your printer out there and all u have to do is search for it like I did for my Epson. You're just to lazy to do it.So go back to Windows noob, we won't miss you.

I myself wouldn't say they're the first ones to do this because Windows Vista had taken out run and added "the hud" to the Start Menu which all you have to do is click the start button (hey! I'm acting my age so what's with it? I don't care the start button was switched with the windows pearl) which "the hud" on Windows Vista is called Start Search which from there you can search the web or your PC for anything and everything just like the hud which people forget to mention, Sorry Linux? Apple did not come up with it, People have been using clients to download software for years on PC's, Microsoft merely decided to make a universal one, sure apple did it first, but Windows 8 was in development with the app store before Lion was.?

Open a Command Prompt as Admin, and do a "/sfc scannow" (without the quotes). Windows will check for lost files, and the Store will be back when it's done. I had this twice, thanks to CCleaner.? Be aware of what you clean!

listen I am not here to debate wether it is better then a ipad or not, I can't say I don't have or have not used the windows tablet. What I do know is a lot of the Apps that ipad has for recording like AC-7? Pro Control Surface, studio tracks, Fruity Loops etc are not available for the Windows yet. Its a Fact not a opinion.

the windows could be cool but lets face it until it can do what Ipad can offers it falls behind, the accessories for ipad like the ability to recoded music and plug instruments into it, the ability to edit HDSLR video and the amazing amount of photography editing apps set it apart.
