I am excited for you OBnurseMonof4. You have a good hubby. Well the blunt side? is the scoring end not the pointy end. I keep the blade at 6 pressure and speed at max the reason is because the card stock I use it thick. Thank you so much for watching my videos! If you need help shoot me a email anytime, we can figure it out together. Have a wonderful day! Hugs Jessica

(cont.) I just don't know why they would included a pointy end on a scoring blade lol! Also, what blade setting and pressure setting would you recommend to score the best? Thanks so much for any help, and also for sharing your experiences with us!!?

Thank you so much for your videos!! I just got this cart for Mother's Day from my wonderful hubby, and have been watching all? your videos to get a feel for it before trying something on my own. Quick question....my husband didn't realize I would need the scoring blade for this cart, so that was quickly ordered and just came in today. Which side of it is used for the scoring?? I'm assuming it's the rounded, blunt end because the other end seems to pointy to score, seems like it might cut instead.

I tried? setting the blade housing to 1 and setting the pressure to low, then turning my cardstock face down on the mat, doing the scoring first, pressing "Load Mat" and then setting the blade housing back to 5 and readjusting the pressure to high for the cutting. It worked pretty well without having to turn the blade around at all. My cardstock was pretty thick, so i don't know how this method would work on thinner stock.

I just got this cartridge today, and I'm a little worried because I don't have a scoring blade. I never heard of it. Is this the only cartridge where you would use a scoring blade? Can I complete? the boxes by just scoring with a ruler and bone folder? gulp

Hi ledouxgirl thanks for the sweet comment. Hey I? found a way to make the cd fit using cd gift box 1. I cut box section 1 and 2 at 71/2 inches. Then i trimmed part of the sides looks like a perfect cd box. Would you like me to make a video or shoot u a email with a picture. Let me know. hugs jessica

I have used my regular blade on 2 depth at lowest pressure and it scores nicely (thick paper, K&Company). I am waiting for the blade to come in the mail but the girls on the cricut blog recommended this. Worth a try.?

THANK YOU! for this video.....That explained so much for me. I was frustrated that the CD? Gift Box when cut as fit to page isn't big enough to fit a blank CD in. I now see most of the cuts can be enlarged (thanks to your video). Unfortunately the CD gift box isn't a 2 piece option so that still is a waste but I am happier with the cartridge now:) Great videos!
