Yeah, but that doesn't mean they'll treat insects the same way, now does it? I treat insects the way a rational person should: if you bother it, it won't bother you, and vice versa. Yes, silk? production is immoral, but anyone who starts spouting "peace for all life" and "i hate silk now" messages in response to your video are probably the ones who regularly keep a fly swatter and a can of Raid handy. I? don't see the huge moral ramifications of killing silkworms to make silk. Yes, I know they kill the worms purposefully in the process, but is it any more immoral than us swatting flies, smashing cockroaches, or spraying insecticides? It's a lot like saying killing and eating pork is morally wrong as opposed to killing and eating cows, fish, chickens, turkeys, lamb, and deer. I say grow up. Unless you devote your life to stopping yourself from killing insects,on purpose or not, just shut up.

I am concerned about humans and animals, and tiny creatures. Why should I only care about my own species only? My compassion extends to all living creatures and because silk is derived inhumanely, as a fashion student and as a human being, I will never use silk. These creatures deserve to be able to fly out of their cocoon? and have a chance at life. We as humans have lost our compassion and it is such a shame. Peace for all living beings.

We SHOULD treat animals with more care. However, when an animal is that small, the surface area to volume ratio is much larger. Boiling alive kills them in a fraction of a second. Carnivorous caterpillars consume their prey while it is alive -- a great deal more cruel than? boiling. There's also slew of animals who suffocate their prey, a painful and horrifying experience I imagine. Humans are just as cruel as many other animals, but at least the human animal can feel remorse.

we consume much in this day ,at least many are living violently to animals -human animal in china seems to be reduced to not? feel pain of animals and rigid control in some places i.e. the skinning of animals live for fur in monumentally horrendous and the earth is not meant to be so violent - non human animals are greatly merciful in consumming and will appreciate their sacrifice of life. humans are distorted to violence as if they have forgotten that creation is a gift .
