Thanks for sharing this. I like the little bead center idea. I have some of those? anyoing lil jewlery beads too never use then so this is great idea. I make a lot of different types from paper to lace to chipboard etc. I am always looking for new ways or styes and like you said to put a little different twist on them I do have a cricut & gypsy and some dies to help (arthrits in hands) But sometimes you just really want the authintic wich is what you made. Love the glitter clue technic too. Marie

: Hi there, well you can try using a round tip end of your paint brush... use a small thin brush for finer embossing and then for the middle where you need a big round tip,? i have seen ladies use a Sharpie (marker) pen, that works too!! :D Hope that helps!!

Hi babes, i took the pink embossing tool from my Ultimate Crafter's Companion kit.... which by the way is not very Ultimate and not much of a companion, so i? dont really recommend it unless your a hardcore Card maker. However the pink embossing tool is really nice to use and it comes in 3 sizes. Have not tried other embossing tools so not able to give you suggestions on that... sorry..

VERY clear and simple directions! and I like that you listed all the supplies you are using as well, that is very helpful to know the names of the glue you are using for these types of flowers (because some glues don't work good for all types? of crafts!) If the paper is too thick then your flowers will look? preety stiff. After trying this a dozen times with other tutorials, I gave in and tried this after watching yours, and I GOT IT! I had to tweak a few things since mine came out much stiffer but after some glimmer misting I was able to squish it down and make it look more natural. Thank you for a great? tutorial!

Good question! You could fold it the other? way and it would work. I fold it the way I do because it is easier to line the bottom of the bag up to get a straight line when you crease it. Hope that makes sense.

The word stamp on the banner is from K & Company's "Que Sera Sera" set. The circle journaling spot is from an Art Warehouse Christmas set, I forget the name, but it's mostly stuff for gift tags anyway. The large flourish is from the Kaiser Kraft "Chapter One" stamp set. The dictionary words on the pocket came from the Art Warehouse? "Life Defined" stamp set.

I got it on sale at Two Peas a long time ago. I think they were clearancing them out, because I haven't seen it there since. The brand is Petaloo and those are the "Color Me Crazy" white paper? flowers. I love them! You get lots of each design for layering & the quality is better for misting and distressing than the Prima white flowers.

I found something neat this weekend working on a wedding album for my daughter's friend. I USED Reynolds foil NON STICK and used masking tape and taped foil to work table. I then stamped all my chipboard covered pieces and shapes..and the foil did not allow excess ink to stick to it. SOOOO it is great surface? to ink on!

This paper bag album has a family theme and it's the first paper bag album I've made that hasn't gone into the trash! For a twist on the classic paper bag album, I bound the bags vertically and used them as envelopes for really huge tags! There is tons of space in this album for photos, journaling and memorabilia.

All the measurements will vary based on the size of your paper bags. You want the largest layer of your front and back outside covers to be about 1/8" larger than the bags so that no bag is showing at the end. The piece that wraps around the spine should be the height of your? completed album + 3" so you can have about 1.5" scalloped edge that wraps around to the front and back. Does that all make sense? Thanks so much ~ I really appreciate your kind comments! The punch I used to make the scallop is a regular corner rounder from EK Success. Their guides are removable so you can do different things with the punches & they even have tutorials on their? website for some of them. The spouncer I have had forever, so I don't remember who makes it. Spouncers are a basic stenciling tool, so check the stenciling aisle of your art or craft store & there should be a bunch there! :D

Last week they were on sale for 50% off. I did not buy them because I have not used up the papers I already have. In this video, the kraft cardstock hinges that join the bags are two inches wide and scored down the center. The bags are attached on either side of the center score. In the version with the spacers, the assembly is exactly the same except that the cardstock pieces are 2.25" wide and scored? at 1" and 1.25" to form the spacer. The paper bags are adhered one on each side of each score line.

I LOVE the albums but to me this one is Rocket Science...LOL! I have taped albums every which way and they still aren't right. It's the spacers that I can't get right. I noticed that? it appears that the spacers weren't used in the Dec, 2009 tutorials, so think I'll just do that type unless there is a "paper sack album with spacers for dummies" video...LOL.

If you have a bag on the end instead of a flap, you just need? to add another cardstock hinge & ONE more bag. Then you will have a flap on the end. :D

The last time I purchased the red sticky tape, I got it from ArticusStudioDesign {dot} com. They have the T3 tape from Provo Craft, but I buy the {not acid free} bulk red tape from Germany. It's pretty much exactly the same! Not sure about the Elmer's Sticky Tape as I? have never tried it.

I got the red sticky tape I used in this video at confessionsofaribbonaddict {dot} blogspot {dot} com, and I have always been pleased? with the product and customer service I have received from there. Recently I found a site that carries it more cheaply, but I haven't ordered from them yet so I can't speak to shipping speed or customer service. I am going to try them next time I buy. I doubt glue stick would be strong enough. The red sticky tape is barely strong enough & the ATG adhesive is not strong enough. If you want to try something cheaper than? the red tape that would still be very strong, I recommend a liquid glue like Scotch Quickdry or even hot glue. I hope that helps & have fun at your class!

This Part Two of my paper bag album series. It has a family theme and it's the first paper bag album I've made that hasn't gone into the trash! For a twist on the classic paper bag album, I bound the bags vertically and used them as envelopes for really huge tags. There is tons of space in this album for photos, journaling and memorabilia.

Attach the left side of the folded cardstock piece to the right side of the paper bags and fold the cardstock closed. There should now be adhesive facing up. Take your third bag & lay it on top of? the other two bags, pressing it into the glue on the cardstock strip. This will make another "hinge" just like the first one.

If you look at the first video in the paper bag series, you will see how I attached the paper bags to each other. I basically took two inch wide strips of paper and folded them down the middle, then I glues one paper bag to one side of the strip and another paper bag to the other side of the strip. Then I just used paper strips to attach one bag at a time after that. The way that I attached the final bag in part one is how I attached every bag.? Does that make sense? I hope so!

Hi all...Ever had troubles when you are playing with Ranger's Alcohol Inks? Always wanted to make beautiful bacgrounds that look like watercolors? Always wondered why you should use white core paper cardstock over regular cardstock...or even what IS white core cardstock...Well...h ere are some answers for you. Hi there...YES!!! Both inks are made for non-porous surfaces and can be used in similar fashions! Also...when embossing regardless of the machine....for the BEST embossing, I would not do more then 1 sheet? at a time. You can do more then one sheet but you might not be happy with the embossing as it might not be as "deep" as you would like. All I can say is give it a try...i

Also, I have both StazOn and Ranger Archival ink. Can the Ranger's brand also be used for non porous surfaces? I mean,? are both inks similar? I know, StazOn packaging says 'solvent ink pad', and Ranger's says 'archival permanent waterproof', but not quite sure if and how they are different. When using the cuttlebug embossing folders in the big shot, how many sheets of cardstock can be placed at a time? Thanks in advance!

I love the techniques you taught, and have just purchased many core supplies to begin scrapbooking and cardmaking. You explain those details that most people do not. Hi there...Glad you liked the? video!!!! About your question...Hummm...it is a really GOOD question. I can tell you to paint inside the peel off stickers, YES...the H20's are much better then Alcohol Inks if using regular cardstock or paper...if using alcohol ink paper, they both do a great job bit I like the blending qualities of the H20's better. Now...to actually color the peel off itself...this I am going to have to try and get back to you on. I generally use Copics!
