DF? Who watches modeling? Who watches TV? Who reads magazines/newspapers? Who goes to fashion shows? Models do enjoy their job, do you? Do they smile!? Do you smile at work? Only when the time calls for it, right? I've always wanted to be a model (and am one since December) because taking pictures and walking makes me happy.? I'm pretty short to be one (5'6") but my body measurements are 34-25-35 at 123lbs, and I eat whatever I want. If I gained anymore weight, I would be obese so SCREW YOU.

I wish I woulda say this video before I did some modeling shots this weekend. I must've taken over 100 shots, and only a FEW of 'em turned out alright. My only (complaint) is that this video is beneficial but was shorter than usual, but I caught? on to the message in the video. What was said tied in with what I was told by some photographers whose been in the game longer than me and they said something similar in vivid and clear detail. Thanks for posting, BJ

I think it's a little more complex than that. It stems from something called 'positive feedback'. Their initial blessing of good features spirred them on to do modelling which gave them the success to maticulously take care of themselves everyday like training in the gym daily and sitting on the beach. By the way true success from working hard in the gym comes from how good your recovery is from that workout. Reality for most people is somewhat? different.

Man this still creates a more realistic picture than modern CGI. CGI isn't evil though, and we've come a very long way with it. But I just think we're overusing it. Classic movies that had to create special effects with ACTUAL effects looked better because props were physical objects, explosions were real, and actors had something? to actually work with. Although, one can achieve very good animation with today's tech and much faster, the rotoscoping technique can achieve better results because? the application is very manual where you trace by hand the human form, for example. The process though time consuming to today's tech, imitates faithfully every nook and cranny thanks to the "intimate" process. Today, it seems that everyday the artist is moving away from the intimate relationship between artist and materials.

Amazing animation for 1919! Some cartoons prior to the Out of the Inkwell series (with the exception of "Gertie the Dinosaur", that wonderful Windsor McCay film from 1914) were not? animated as nicely as this. Some of the earliest animated cartoons looked like a complete rush job. This was obviously made with a lot of care and hard work. It's a shame that, to some people, Max Fleischer is not as well-known as Walt Disney.

I agree. The state of music today has the same problem. The makers unknowingly let all the technology plug-ins compete with the final product instead of supporting it. They have so many choices they feel they must use, the makers as a result drift further and further away from the musical vision. These Out of the Inkwell old-timers hardly had any choices to help them, so they? had to make many critical decisions as they went along, which kept them close to the artistic vision.

Thanks for the tutorial. It's helped me more than my class instructor has!! The only thing I would say is that it would be helpful if while you're modeling and extruding, give a really brief explanation to what part of the ear you're planning the new piece to be for. It's tricky to follow along just? watching what you're doing and guessing what part of the ear the verts represent. Seriously though, great tutorial!!

Don't know if you are still having this problem but a quick fix is to convert to subdivs and convert back to polys but this increases poly? count. Its good practice to get used to modelling in quads / fixing topology manually, sooner or later it becomes second nature and just by looking at something you can tell what edges need to be deleted and where you need to add edges.

I have been using 3ds max for a very long time and I would like to ask Autodesk or anyone else to answer me on this question: What is the point of adding new horizontal "modifier" if it is already exists in vertical right part of the interface? I admit that 3-4 new options are cool and useful and why they? couldn't have been JUST ADDED in "normal" modifier? Look forward to receiving an answer :D

its most likely a configuration issue with the computer itself and/or the network since you're using it at school?? I'm a 4th year engineering student and I've been using autocad for 3 years now and every year i upgrade to the new version (free for students) and I don't have any problems with it at all - not at home nor at the uni.

I am not familiar with the mesh function on the IPT file. I use the autoCAD 2011 Invertor saftware and i still cant find it. Just saying, using the mesh functunction might not be easy with? IDW files but idk, i never used it.

im a high school student n ive been using this software for 3 years .i cant remember which version of auto cad we originally had but who ever stated this new software crashes every so often was correct . the old one never had any technical difficulties and this? new one has them nearly every time i walk into my classroom.

Here's the deal. AutoCAD does cost four grand. That's why most? people who use it use it through their company who has the leasing agreement. As for Microstation and other programs being better? Nah. Fact is, AutoCAD isn't meant for 3D meshing. Civil engineering and the such is it's forte. The 3D rendering is good for creating conceptual views for buildings. If you want into the field, learn AutoCAD, Rivet, and Microstation. People crying about AutoCAD simply don't know any better.
