You should always leave the pressure foot in the down position when not using because it? stops the spring being under tension when not needed. You just put a piece of material under the foot to protect the feed dogs

Answer for silkyorganza- This little machine is GREAT for fabric! I was going to purchase a more expensive machine, but when the saleslady? saw me carrying it around, she directed me to the less expensive Sew Mini Janome instead. She said she had been assigned to demonstrate it at a sewing expo, had been worried at first about it not being a very good machine, and then discovered how amazing it really was. So I bought this one to use when we travel in our RV.

Are you saying that they had those? clothes made in a sweet shop down in China and slapped the label of 'handmade' on to it? If that is the case, than they are striaght up liars and can be charged with false advertising. Again, even ucycling takes a ton of time and effort. I think it takes MORE effort since you are dealing with old clothes and not nice, new, large sheets of fabric instead.

dude, i know a? lot of designers that use phrases like handmade, diy and economical just to be able to charge more. i know they take more effort and time but the prices are still ridiculously high, and you can have both ways, do you even know how many clothes are thrown away? you could upcycle them so you barley have any material costs

Greed? These clothes are HANDMADE, so they take a lot of time and effort, so of course they? are going to be more expensive than mass produced clothes. Duh. The whole point of mass produced items is to decrease price, so that everyone can afford them. So you can't have both ways. If you want unique, handmade items, be prepared to fork out for the (well deserved) pricetage.

she is great ! she makes sewing sound so easy. Hey? guys I have a question where is a good place to get nice fabric without spending a fortune on it at the store? When I say nice fabric I dont mean like silk unless, you know where : ) I just mean in stead of torn up or old cloths a continuous peice of fabric that can be used to make stuff like curtains or new cloths/ what not. and you still can choose where your fabric comes? from by looking at the information of where it is made before buying - my mother makes sure all the fabric she buys is made in the united states before purchasing. atleast you can limit your buys to products made in countries that have better labor laws

well a serger is for more advances sewing. it finnishes seams and gives stretch to seams that would not stretch with normal sewing. it have 3 or 4 big spools of thread, 2 needles and no bobben. it also goes very fast. it's hard to explan everything but thoughs are the basics of it :) threadbanger has a video on how to thread a? serger and they explan it a bit u can try that.

well a serger is a bitt differient. it finnishes seams and gives streatch to seams as well.it's for more advanced sewing. she may have a bernina? sewing machien but a serger is deffernt so she will need them both.
