few features here and there, but the biggest one is probably the size-- cricut create [smaller one] can cut? 12x6 sheets whereas the cricut expressions can do up to 12x24". check out hte SCAL/sure Cuts a lot software; wont haveot buy cartridges ever again! :P

I am so sorry that your mat broke. When you are bending your mat, you want it to be a gentle bend, just enough to make your paper lift a little bit. I have been using the Cricut since it came out and this is how I have been removing my cuts since then. I found that when I do this, my? cardstock does not curl. It sort of pops off.

You CAN, but it would probably make the machine unsafe for use to cut fondant again. Even if you changed the housing/blade and used a regular Cricut mat, all the particles and chemicals from the paper would most likely? get into the C. Cake machine. Thus, making it unsafe. (My personal opinion/observation, but should call and ask Provocraft to be sure.)

I have the cartridge but I never really "see it" with the little book Cricut provided which for this type of cartridge I believe they could make an? additional pamphlet to show the completed item. It's not that flexible on its own. I know you can get a program (SCAL) which allows you to cut designed images on your computer and share cut files with others, but I haven't used it and don't know if you can simply transfer photos into a cut file...try the Cricut message boards and you might find a thread? on the topic.

The Cricut is great - you will love it. It can get expensive but if you are happy with a few general carts with images and fonts it's not too bad. A personal trimmer is a must have, a tape runner, and some great paper. I love Creative Memories Power Palettes and paper kits because they have everything together that match and you can get a? lot of pages done. I only use CM albums for my scrapbooking too. There are tons of ideas out there (I post pages Tues on my blog).

Ok - just checking - you put shortening on the matt then how thin was the gum pasted rolled? did you use the kitchen aid attachment to roll it out? When you said you? set it to 6 was that pressure? Hi, just watched your demo, its great that you have converted your machine, Dont know if I would dare do that to my machine, However I was wondering if you could cut femo or other clays in it, Just think of all the embellisments you could make.the possibilities would be endless. ps still dont think I would? dare try it tho.

I loved this video, I must say you are amazing to figure this ou,t not to mention save me a lot of money on the cake machine. HA HA. But, I found even when my gum paste sometimes was cut with cutters I still had ragged edges, if you use a brush and water (or vodka? works well) it gets rid of those edges, just use the brush and brush lightly.

I hope they don't mess things up either regarding the cricut, I have jsut the personal and never felt the want to upgrade to cricut expression, and so on. I did however buy a? gypsy and love it. i don't want to have to purchase a new cricut in two years because they decided to upgrade or try and force people to purchase the newer one.

I hadn't heard about this new expression 2.? That explains the markdowns I've been seeing in the craft stores on the original expression. I started out with the original personal cutter, and just last week I picked up the expression. Please keep all new cartridges backward compatible!!!!!!
