Desktop Effects on UBUNTU 8.04, i think those effects are more advanced and cool than the ones you can get on Mac Apple. The way to have a cool desktop. TO GET ALL THOSE EFFECTS, INSTALL ComipizConfig Settings Manager, THEN, FROM ITS CONTROL PANEL, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ACTIVATE AND SELECT THE KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS OF EVERY EFFECT.

It is an interesting concept, but you definitely gone too far with a metaphor of a desktop. Metaphors doesn't have to mimic exactly the real thing, but only make a user feel more familiar with a virtual thing. I don't think this kind of desktop will increase productivity which is the most important? task of the computer!

This is cooler than the final version of BumpTop, which became more 2D looking. Either way, though,? it's not practical for professionals as the entire concept wastes time instead of saving it.
