Our entire culture now is moving towards sharing media freely because it is insane not to do so, within the paradigm of a virtually unlimited resource. As far as I am aware, if you purchase the program (like Premier)? and these are things in it like templates, etc. that it has for you to use, then I believe that is fine. For example, in MS Word when you use clipart built into the program, you don't have to cite it as a source and are not restricted from using it because you purchased the program. You're confusing copyright and plagiarism. If someone else reads? up on Einstein's work on general relativity and then claims that they came up the ideas without giving credit to Einstein then they are committing plagiarism. On the other hand, if Einstein wrote a book on general relativity and someone else makes a copy of it and says, "Hey look, here's a book that Einstein wrote on the subject of relativity," then that person would be violating a copyright law, but I would say the law is unjust.

That all depends on the art form. With music for example the artists get a negligable from? album sales and they make their money from tours and merchandise. Actors will be paid a set amount regardless of box office or dvd sales. What it really means is less money for the labels and corporations which back the artists. Art, be it music or film will continue with or without that backing.
