Please think about that it is rather Leaming who was exploiting and abusing Rita by writing such a scandal bio and making money with it. Maybe then you might understand why I and many others consider Leeming the evil person in this story. Again, there is no evidence, not even a reliable hint for? the incest story. What makes you think that Barbara Leaming's bio on Rita is "thoroughly researched"? I really wonder, because it? isn't. That Rita's father supposedly had a child with his sister was not even in this book & not in any other! This lie is from an online article that is around for some time, and I've never read anything about this somewhere else. Sorry, but the incest claims are not confirmed at all, and certainly not in several biographies! It's one (!) book by Barbara Leaming? that claimed those things. And Leaming doesn't offer any evidence for it. And then lots of magazine articles quoted her because those journalists didn't do research on their own. That Rita's husbands were lousy was not what I was talking about. Though a lot of stuff about them got exaggerated, too, again by Leaming.

This is a beautiful documentary. I feel so inspired. Rita and I seem to have very similar social phobia and personalities. My battles with my social phobia make me feel? destroyed, but watching this just makes me tear up. I am not bad, like her I have a beautiful, warm, sweet, and loving personality, I am just shy in another rate. But she did not deserve those poor husbands. She deserves better!

This was confirmed in several biographies, as well as by Rita herself. She had a very hard life,? and her first husband was absolutely horrible to her. Poor lady, my mom met her in the 70s and said she was a lovely woman, Rita suffered very much.
