Played this back when it first came out, but didn't pay much mind to the? bonus stuff (ie riddles and riddler trophies) with arkham city, it was a different story; I've solved every riddle and am almost done with all the trophies in the game. Now watching this makes me wanna go back and find all the bonuses of this game too :)

Don't get we wrong, Superman is ok, but I grew up with Bats, and for me the series seemed to have more variation idea-wise (psychological thriller, phobia-related, pure violence, crime drama,? head games, etc.) whereas Superman revolves around alien invasion, giant robots, giant death-ray, asteroid collision, catastrophic natural disaster, villain with tons of Kryptonite, and each created by either Lex or somebody from space. Sometimes there's random people, but otherwise mainly alien or Lex.

Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are perfect examples of how much more epic Batman is then Superman. Superman games always sucked. Superman 64, anyone? Superman Returns? Ugh. If I remember correctly, didn't they have a "Flight Gauge" (meaning you could only fly for a set time)? Last time I checked, Supes can fly indefinitely. Let's hope we will soon see a Superman game as good as this. Batman Begins from EA really pushed the limit and even though you didn't really feel like Batman, it was a step forward. Maybe more than once step forward. And then we got this jewel. Superman Returns from EA was also a good game, unfortunately the lack of a decent storyline and the continous repetition? make it bad. But seeing as how that was also a step forward, we will probably see a Superman game thats good.

Not quite. The Xbox 360 has an ATI GPU which doesn't support it at all, and while the PS3 does have an nVidia GPU, it's an NV47 which is too old to support PhysX. Having said that though, nVidia have licensed PhysX to Sony for use on the PS3, but it will be running on the CPU only (cell SPU's to be specific). To be honest most other? physics libraries are capable of running on console CPU's so this isn't really noteworthy... For physics, PS3 > 360. For graphics, 360 > PS3.

Sure are exaggerating what you can or cannot do with or without PhysX... like ultraneonoirnatihero stated, most of these effects could be accomplished without, to an extent. Maybe not fully reactive to? meshes and movable objects, but it's still possible. Wavering cloth or illusions with just particles could've been accomplished for people who had it turned off or couldn't use it. Just marketing this, really.

Havok, re-code your physics engine with openCL Then we can all? be happy and get rid of the monopoly nvidia has. I'm not anti nvidia, I just think that a cross platform physics engine would be better. The havok physics engine is equally capable, it's just CPU bound so you can't do as much with it. Make it run on a GPU and it would do anything PhysX can do.
