All cintiqs (you know the tablets with the screens) need a computer to use it. Other than the wacom technolgy in it, it acts? just like any other computer monitor. Oh, and just get a bamboo if you're a beginner or even a intuos4. Unless you're a professional wanting to finish work faster, you don't need a cintiq (They are REALLY cool though)

AHA... yes if your trying anime... but what about Manga? That's completely possible. You just have to get off your ass and do it-every day. It can't just be a 'Phase thing' where your like "Yeah, I'll be a manga artist!! It'll be easy!" and then a month later you decide that you want to write a book instead. You have to seriously learn the language (Japanese), and practice, because odds are... most successful people in the art? world didn't get to where they are because they're THAT natural at it

Why give? up? Anyone can be just as good as this person with hard work, dedication and practice. Even with a simple and cheap Bamboo tablet, you can produce work like this. :)

Does it matter? what size your tablet is to be able to draw ON your tablet without a computer? I've seen smaller ones, but they use a computer screen. Does a bigger one enable you to draw right on the tablet without a computer/labtop? Oh, I apologize if this is unclear. I don't have any tablets, so I'm trying to learn about them before I get one (to make sure I get the best one).
