That petting zoo just made my night. Can you go in and pet the them? The? art was very cool to. They have sidewalk festivals in the business district area of Boston.

Love + Rockets 'Express', another great album that only you and maybe Duane {Laz} would show. I was eyeing the somewhat newly released 'Sorted' the best of L+R. The only thing I could not believe was that they did not include both 'Lazy' and 'All In My Mind' which were two of their best songs in my opinion.
Another stellar update.? You never fail to get me going logging onto eBay and buying stuff that you showed . Thanks Stephan the Kopp~

I agree with you with U2's later work. I lost interest after I saw the Joshua Tree tour/album. You cannot beat Unforgettable Fire and back to Boy. / You are right, I did love Mighty Lemon Drops. The song 'Inside Out'. takes me back to Smiths and great times. I am going to buy 'World Without End' tonight. You are the post-punk king and you help me to remember all those great bands~

I too like that album, it has quite a history, a lot? of turmoil within the group at the time, and it is a miracle that they were able to even release it. Loved hearing your take on the Stones as you are quite the scholar and are the best one to put it all in a context. This was a very enjoyable video to watch, I thank you! and YOU are awesome.

That mid period and his guitar playing was the Stones that I loved. I could have bet you were going to pick Bill? Wyman. How did i know that? At the beginning you said you were not a huge fan of the Stones the choice made sense. He is an incredible musician. Nice post~

I found out about Polish post-punk through the internet. It was quite the scene actually and some awesome bands and albums came from it. Several of those albums show up on best post-punk albums lists I've read on the net and with good reason.
LOL! You? could probably take a lot of LPs and it would be a while before I noticed they were gone.
Whoa great score on ... By: KoolRanchDressing. on 12 Apr 12, 09:38:45 Whoa great score on the? comp! It does sound wonderful.
I haven't really heard any Ministry after Filth Pig, so I'm sure it's quite bad. I do like their synth pop of With Sympathy and Twitch and then all their industrial metal from Land of Rape and Honey to FP. Killing Joke has been quite consistent though and their new albums of the past few years have been kick ass. Their worst period is probably their brief fling with new wave in the mid 80's but I still like those albums too.

I love that John Foxx album, I've been meaning to show it since I joined the VC but keep forgetting. I'm surprised more people don't talk about it, it's? an obscure classic for sure.
I like Die Krupps' industrial stuff too. It's like that with Ministry, I like the synth pop period and the industrial metal period. Same is true for me with Killing Joke.

I always assume ... By: sundodger1. on 01 Apr 12, 14:45:19 I always assume it's a case of a larger, heavier package falling on and bending or damaging another package not a person doing it.? It's very hard to protect against that unless use use wood flats on both sides of the record and that's very cost prohibitive.
Gary.
I still cannot ... By: Paneeks1960. on 01 Apr 12, 13:56:20 I still cannot understand why anyone would want to bend any type of package no matter what size it is. Everyone in? the postal or UPS system should know that there could be something bendable inside. 'Ribbons' is also my personal favorite out of all the tracks on Side A. I really enjoyed your review per usual Stephan. I am also happy that you got your internet connection back to status.

Stephan, I recieved ... By: havoktracks40. on 01 Apr 12, 13:49:55 Stephan, I recieved my copy Thursday in Lelystad save? and sound. Postal services are an hell for parcels like these they just put heavy stuff on them or stack them wrong in their trucks.
Great that you enjoy the music the same as I do.
Want to make a vid of my own the coming week.

The postal service ... By: mikeinportsri. on 01 Apr 12, 13:44:51 The postal service could be worse, they are not perfect but they are better the UPS and Fed Ex,? USPS is the only way I ship. When I ship LP's I always sandwich it between 2 pieces of cardboard or I reuse old LP covers as the spacers. Dereck 3 is unbelievable though, I get lost in it as well.

Angels II is mostly ... By: KoolRanchDressing. on 20 Mar 12, 17:50:06 Angels II is mostly improvised from what I've heard, I prefer the first too. I like how you like the early drone doom metal Earth best! lol I knew I was right! It's my? favorite period as well, but Shelly loves all Earth since she's a huge fan. You really should get into more doom since you already dig Earth, Melvins, etc. so much. Do you like Boris, Harvey Milk, Jesu, Nadja, Electric Wizard, Sunn, etc.? I was always curious.
Awesome to see you picked up Conduits! Album looks very cool.
Mr. Hyde is ... By: KoolRanchDressing. on 20 Mar 12, 17:44:35 Mr. Hyde is horrorcore which explains the extreme lyric content. Gravediggaz's first album is my favorite of that hip hop? subgenre.
Sounds like you saw Earth with Ô Paon, she played when we saw them too. I love Phil E./Mount Eerie's studio stuff. We had an awesome experience seeing Earth, but we saw them in a really cool club with great mood and lighting. We were like a foot away from them in a small club so it was really special.
I've noticed that ... By: KoolRanchDressing. on 20 Mar 12, 17:40:30 I've noticed that countries with horrible histories often have very uplifting music, maybe to make up for the pain. I have Schulze's Irrlicht, Mirage, and X, all three are great but X is my fav. I don't have the Byrds' Greatest Hits! You make me feel like my collection is really lacking, you did the same thing when you said everyone has Tubular Bells, lol. I still need to get that someday, but it's? always like 20 bucks when I see it in person for some reason.
That is wonderfully ugly!

That Mr. Hyde looks TIGHT! Ya know I like the Nasty-bits:) Earth IS borinh. THANK YOU. GREATgreatGREATgreat band to listen to.
Been a fan for a long time. BUT never gonna see them live again! lol I'm gonna get that Conduits LP even if I go broke doing so.? That's my shiiiit.

'Cats As Cats Can' ... By: Paneeks1960. on 20 Mar 12, 01:39:00 'Cats As Cats Can' by The Cats is a very interesting find. This is why I dig seeing your videos. I just saw Zach {I think} show a Steve Hackett LP. I think Earth was made for our stereos and not for the live show stage. I really appreciate your honesty. I agree with you on Part II even though I did order it. But for what i heard so far, Part Uno of Angels seems to be a lot better. Dig it Stephan. Hope your well.? I will be sending out your album {finally} in a few days.

I love Nancy Sinatra and you will see? a new LP I got of hers from Tim in my new video post. I thank you in the video too for the cool 7" you sent to me. Oh, anything with Sandy Denny is also a bonus. Nice suggestions to the first guy I ever met from Sweden.

Maybe I will hook up with Jonas and come over and visit you? I shouldn't say this really because I could not even hook up with River and Shelly last weekend when they were in Boston! What kind of host am I? Not too good but I did have and exam and paper that I could not ignore.
It was nice to hear how to pronounce your name the right way. Lee Hazlewood? You never fail to amaze.

I think the Masters of Cinema series isn't available in the US, since they are forced to region lock their releases. They're a great company with only 4 people who work on their roster. I've always loved weird films, but it went insane after seeing El Topo on the? BBC back in the late '90s!

Never seen that ... By: totheboyelis. on 14 Mar 12, 15:55:34 Never seen that masters of cinema series here in the states. Thank you so much for doing these videos. I enjoyed this one thoroughly. Apparently, we both like the same kind of fascinating, weird, absurd & obscure movies! Def. Introduced me to a couple new titles here that I missed. Bunuel's Simon is a masterpiece, but then again, I've been blown? away by all of his work. Cheers!

By: TearsOfAnElephant. on 13 Mar 12, 00:36:31 wow great stuff Stephan, hourglass is one of my favorites...chappaqua i used to have but sold and i have some regrets,.. kingdom of the crooked mirrors is one i want to check out for some time now, genius party looks pretty interesting.. what was the film you showed? after ex-drummer? Can't wait to check out the videos on masters of cinema, great label!
The Australian ... By: Paneeks1960. on 12 Mar 12, 23:09:21 The Australian DVD's like the Genius Party one looks very cool with the fold out packaging. The? best party of DVD's besides Criterion issues are the special packaging. My all time favorite packaging is the Almost Famous special edition Director's Cut. I actually want to find another one that is sealed just to save. I could enjoy watching you do a few more of these because you are a film buff and I love your norm to alternative taste in movies~

I've never seen that Paris, Texas soundtrack on vinyl before. So cool. I dig Ry Cooder and love that movie of? course. Love your grail, and it truly is a grail. We showed our copy last year in one of our first videos. We got that same reissue for $25 too a few years ago, I've never seen an original but would love too. But seriously we love that album and it's a desert island record for us. I hear you on not being able to recommend it to anyone! We had a bunny named Foot Foot FOOT FOOT!
