Steady as she goes this past week. Most plants grew, including some noticeable new leaf nodes on plants I'd topped (Purple UFO, Manzano, NagaBon...). Basement room still suffering a bit of droopiness in Monkey Face, Pimiento, TIo, and Cheyenne. I got a dehumidifier, however, so we'll see how that does for them in the next month until I get everything transferred outdoors.

Ongoing struggles with a few plants having edema, some calcium deficiency, and just running out of space. Damn, I have taken on quite a burden this year! However, I am of good cheer and will take care of all of these babies until the end! Depending on the flavors, and general productivity, I will be overwintering a choice 5 varieties at the end of the season.

Thanks for the encouragement, and for watching! Yeah, I wanted to go as all out as possible, without compromising my home or ability to take care of so many. They are doing well enough so far, but I am still fine-tuning my approach. It is very tricky with? so many different varieties that each like different things in different amounts. It is definitely a lot to keep track of, but I feel that I am learning a lot very quickly, so it is worth it.

Yeah, I have started watering more frequently, but a lot less at a time. Peppers definitely like it? on the dry side, although it is a narrow margin of error indoors to get it just right, since the drainage is more tricky in pots/cups than in the ground. I still look at how much I have to learn about this, and I am humbled at how little I know. I have learned a lot in my short time as a chili grower, but I still have a long way to go, and I refuse to give up! I love learning, so I continue!

Oh definitely a fine line to walk there! Maybe water in smaller doses more often with the calcium? I never had edema though so what do I know. I'm sure I would feeling the same way as you are! Dude, I don't think in 5 years I will have the knowledge that you have with peppers after 2 years. I? have been growing the same amount of time and I feel like a freakin mental midget, lmao.

Thanks, Todd! I'm still a little shaky on? the overwatering, and as you can see, some C.Chinense are crinkled and in need of some extra Calcium. I have been spectrum feeding with every watering, but I fear that in each watering, I watered too much, and then as a result of having to wait so long for the soil to dry up, the plants started to suffer calcium deficiency. Oh well, for Year 2 of growing peppers, I suppose I am doing reasonably well.

Thanks for watching! Yeah, I don't actively pursue advertisement revenue, or extreme networking here on YouTube,? I'm just utilizing it as an outlet of expression, and whomever finds me or hears about me, cool. I appreciate feedback, views, and comments, but I try not to strive for those things, and instead, focus on the content and spirit of what I do, which is mainly to critique pepper/sauce flavors and burns, and right now, to show the progress of my growing season this year. Yeah, I've heard you mention tmudder, and paulmtonkin? has mentioned him before, too. I am always interested in sharing my peppers with others, and/or doing exchanges to try new ones myself! I know how you feel about the choices! It's looking now like I will be having 3 slots available to try and sprout some Amazons, and possibly another of a random variety that I've only grown one of so far. Anyway, take it easy, Roland!

i just strted looking today at the online? ssite i buy from, oh god, sooooo many choises but i got to narrow it down to 8. Definitly will be doing amazons ad sweet wax Bananas but the other six, who knows. Im avoiding doing anything that you or tmudder might be doing so well get a better variety this season for our episodes, also, you should get in touch with tmudder to work out some exchages this season (assuming you already havent lol) his stuff is great.

Cool, glad to hear you're still chili-ing up this year! What others are you growing besides the Amazons? I liked those, pretty hot but not nuclear, with that cool Fatali/Habanero taste. It's looking more and more like my wild species, C.Lanceolatum, won't germinate. If they still haven't in another week, I will be planting Amazons! I will definitely be? sending you some samples as the season progresses. I got lots of really cool rare types this year, hope I get a good harvest!

They're CFL bulbs, not? Halogen, so the power bill should be a lot nicer. Also, in anticipation of just such an event, I went down to the police and told them that my power bill would be on the rise from growing hot peppers, so they know what's going on.

No, I did not, sorry. I wrote my list down of what I was growing,? and reconsidered, and then reconsidered again, and then I reconsidered and changed a few, and I ended up with 45 varieties. Amazon were in the running, but when it came down to it, there were so many others I'd already pretty much decided on before I tried those, so it didn't make the cut this year. I did, however, seeing as how I have 160ish varieties, make my list o' 50 to grow next year, and they are on that!

This is just to inquire if anyone knows the exact ID of this pepper. My research yielded 2 results that were very similar-looking but with yellow pods instead of orange. Those 2 results are:
