Glad you are going to give them a go. Don't forget to tie the string on before you start painting, and have somewhere to leave them to dry.? Otherwise you get finger prints in wet ink/paint :) Works on plastic baubles, the cheapie ones are fine :)
Be gentle if you are decorating glass baubles though, in case they break

Come to the blog (link at end of film) go to the stamping tab at the top, pick tutorials by billie from the drop down menu. There are lots of written tutorials to help you choose your essential starter material there. I tried to put a link in, but YT said no :(
U can emboss with dye inks if your paper isn't too absorbant (try glossy) & u have embossing powder ready to go & ur quick.
I use the Versafine which is pigment ink as it doesn't? bead up on the clear stamps.

If you are new, the best ink to use for embossing is a pigment ink, it is glycerine based so it dries slower, so gives you time to apply powder and then heat set. The brand is Tsukeniko the options are; Versamark which is a clear ink which is fine for? embossing if you are using opaque coloured powders. I love this & recommend it.

Glad you liked the video, just be sure to store your stamps out of? the light and somewhere not very hot or cold and you'll be fine. Versafine is a great all round ink and has worked well on most clear stamps.

One tip, if you are putting lots of layers on, go for more substantial cardstock. Anything too thin, may fall apart during the process. ;)

These tops fit perfectly on top of a? standard acrylic craft paint bottle, which is much less expensive than the paints from Ranger, plus you get many more colors to choose from!

All the colours are quite intense and it is very difficult to show the depths of colour tones on film. They are also tricky to photograph.
Like marbling, this technique will give different? results for each project. Best to experiment with colours you like. You can do this technique with a single colour and still have a nice result.

I worked small as it suited the stamps I had, but if you have larger stamps, or make them plain then go for it. You could also use patterned paper instead of stamping.
